ESC|University September 2010 Training Offerings

Can't find the class you're interested in on the dates that you need and in the location that you desire?  ESC no longer publishes our training schedule months in advance.  Instead, you will now find that courses are only published one month prior to their date.  However, please note that all courses are still available, whether they have a scheduled offering date or not.  Should you want to attend a course and it's not offered when you need it, contact ESC|University at 865.688.7900 or escu@envirosys.com to schedule the course.  Don't forget ESCU also offers private, on-site courses.

QuickStart to ESC|StackVision Class

September 2, 2010 (Knoxville, TN)

This class is geared toward current CEMS users who are planning to transition to ESC|StackVision. This course is paced for experienced DAS users and will introduce the user to key StackVision features, including certification wizards, the new DataLab and CalLab, and the easy-to-navigate CEMScape.

Regulatory Updates Webinar

In this webinar, we will discuss all of the current regulatory initiatives impacting electric generating utilities.

DataLab and DataLab Viewer Webinar

September 10, 2010

This webinar will focus on using the DataLab and DataLab Viewer tools in ESC|StackVision. Participants will become familiar with the Linear, Crosstab and Chart views, as well as how to create views to use in DataLab and DataLab Viewer, and how to use the filtering/summaries options.

Time: This webinar will begin at 10:00 am EST and will last approximately two hours.

Using ESC|StackStudio Workshop

September 16, 2010 (Knoxville, TN)

This workshop is designed for users who are experienced in configuring ESC|StackVision. Attendees will be introduced to the configuration tools available through ESC|StackStudio, then explore the SQL Server-based architecture of StackStudio while learning how to make significant edits to a StackVision configuration. In addition to identifying the steps necessary for completing configuration changes and updates, this course will demonstrate how StackStudio can be used for validation and error-checking tasks.

CEMS New User with ESC|StackVision Class

September 20-21, 2010 (Knoxville, TN)

This class is geared toward I&C Technicians, Plant Engineers, Environmental Coordinators and Reporting Personnel and will focus on the basic features of the ESC|StackVision software. This two-day course is specifically paced for a new user. Participants will receive hands-on experience with the StackVision software and have ample time to cover the entire DAS and associated tasks.

Data QA/Certification with ESC|StackVision Workshop

September 22-23, 2010 (Knoxville, TN)-24,

This workshop is geared toward CEMS Technicians performing Quality Assurance activities and Environmental Reporting Personnel. Participants must have an understanding of plant/site certification events and procedures to fully benefit from this course. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to utilize ESC|StackVision to complete required Data QA and CEMS Certification procedures. This two-day workshop covers the theory of Certification/On-going Test Events and Quality Assurance procedures required for 40 CFR 75 quarterly reporting, discussions on linearity, RATA, Flow-to-Load, 7-Day Calibration Error/Drift Test, cycle time response tests, daily calibrations, formula verification and missing data algorithms.

Data Controller Real-Time Displays Webinar

Roadmap to Reporting Using ESC|StackVision and the ECMPS Client Tool

September 27-October 1, 2010 (Knoxville, TN)

Designed for Reporting Personnel, Plant Managers and Corporate Environmental staff, this five-day course provides a better understanding of the entire reporting process and demonstrates how ESC|StackVision can be used to decrease reporting frustrations. The first three days of this class will be devoted to Part60/75 regulations during which participants will become familiar with terms and acronyms, get comfortable with finding various sections in the rule, and understand the reasoning behind testing requirements and associated performance specifications. Featuring the QuickStart to ESC|StackVision Class, the fourth day will introduce the user to key StackVision features, including certification data entry, the new DataLab and CalLab, and the easy-to-navigate CEMScape. On the final day, we will offer the Using ECMPS workshop, allowing participants the opportunity to apply the information learned during the first four days of the course. Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to clean up a monitoring plan, import and export files from ECMPS and StackVision, evaluate QA and Emissions data, and resolve the errors in StackVision.

*Roadmap to Reporting is a combination of three courses: Part 60/75 Regulations Class (3 days), QuickStart to ESC|StackVision Class (1 day) and Using ECMPS Workshop (1 day). Although we encourage attendees to register for the comprehensive five-day class, it can be split up and booked individually by course.

CalLab and CalGas Management Webinar

September 28, 2010

In this webinar, participants will gain an understanding of how to initiate a calibration in ESC|StacKVision, navigate CalLab and become familiar with the Cylinder Gas Management utility.
