Deciphering Your Permit Workshop

March 2, 2010 (Knoxville, TN)

This workshop is geared toward Environmental personnel who deal with permit compliance. This workshop helps attendees understand the process for defining their monitoring and regulatory calculation requirements for air permits. Participants will also get a sneak preview of ESC|CIMVision – Monitoring Plan Builder during which attendees will:

  • Learn how to review and summarize permits
  • Uncover the intricacies of defining data validation
  • Determine the calculation criteria methods for demonstrating compliance
  • Understand how exceptions, exemptions and exclusions should be applied to their data
  • Discover how to work through vague and challenging requirements
  • Learn how translated permit information will incorporate into ESC|CIMVision - Monitoring Plan Builder and present an XML Permit Monitoring Plan

During this workshop, participants will learn how to use ESC|StackVision to identify, troubleshoot and resolve data anomalies in order to maintain the integrity and validity of CEMS data. Using the DataLab, CalLab and reporting tools available in StackVision, participants will streamline their data review processes prior to submitting QA/Certification reports.

This class is geared toward I&C Technicians, Plant Engineers, Environmental Coordinators and Reporting Personnel and will focus on the basic features of the ESC|StackVision software. This two-day course is specifically paced for a new user. Participants will receive hands-on experience with the StackVision software and have ample time to cover the entire DAS and associated tasks.

Data Management and SQL Database Administration for ESC|StackVision Class

March 22-23, 2010 (Orlando, FL)

As ESC continues to utilize Microsoft's® SQL Server database, the need to understand more advanced topics of database administration is required. Designed for individuals who have knowledge of basic IT system administrative tasks, this class will familiarize participants with the relationship between SQL Server and ESC|StackVision, and will discuss the utilities provided in SQL Server Management Studio for troubleshooting and preventing common database issues. This course also provides the working knowledge necessary for examining Data Management and recovery strategies as well as conducting preventative server maintenance.

Data QA/Certification with ESC|StackVision Workshop

March 25-26, 2010 (Orlando, FL)

This workshop is geared toward CEMS Technicians performing Quality Assurance activities and Environmental Reporting Personnel. Participants must have an understanding of plant/site certification events and procedures to fully benefit from this course. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to utilize ESC|StackVision to complete required Data QA and CEMS Certification procedures. This two-day workshop covers the theory of Certification/On-going Test Events and Quality Assurance procedures required for 40 CFR 75 quarterly reporting, discussions on linearity, RATA, Flow-to-Load, 7-Day Calibration Error/Drift Test, cycle time response tests, daily calibrations, formula verification and missing data algorithms.
