On September 22, 2009, EPA signed the Final Mandatory Reporting Rule which requires suppliers of fossil fuels or industrial greenhouse gases (GHGs), manufacturers of vehicles and engines, and facilities that emit 25,000 metric tons or more per year of GHG emissions to annually report them to EPA. The rule requires the monitoring of emissions to begin on January 1, 2010, with the first report to be submitted in 2011.
The data provided by the new rule will allow EPA to better understand where GHGs originate, thus guiding the best policies and programs needed to reduce emissions and fight climate change.
Although these changes are overwhelming, we knew they were coming and have planned accordingly. ESC is here and ready to work with you from start to finish in order to ensure that you successfully report your GHG emissions. You can rest assured as we have the solution!
